Abstract:
A design of microstrip isolator-circulator in X-band is described by using HFSS simulation software and microwave measurements with VNA techniques, a kind of microstrip components with three co-axial SMT ports was successfully realized. The component features three ports VSWR of equal to and less than 1.40, insertion isolations of equal to and less than 0.6 dB for
S21 and 1.2 dB for
S32, isolations of equal to and higher than 12 dB for
S12 and 28 dB for
S23, and effective bandwidth of more than 40%. By using SMT technique, the isolator-circulator can realize integrated mounting with antenna unit winding layer outside the T/R component, realizing the trend of miniaturization, broadband and economic development of modern radar.
