Abstract: The problem of adaptive transmitting null beamforming for phased array radar is studied. A performance measurement suited for adaptive nulling of transmitting beam is given. The optimal weight vector of transmitting beam is derived by Lagrange multiplier approach. And also, the algorithm for calculating the optimal weight vector is given. Finally, it is also demonstrated that the proposed method is very effective.
