Abstract:
A new method for low elevation tracking is discussed in this paper. The key to this method is based on elevation deflection focusing double beams. When the antenna boresight aims at the middle point of a target and its image, both the height and azimuth data of the target can be calculated, based on the phase difference between the output voltages of two receiving antennas. The error analysis and computer simulation results are given in this paper, and compared with other similar methods. It is shown by computer simulation that this method is effective and has better applicability for the scattering coefficient K =0.6~1.
