Abstract: The frequency modulate by a stepped frequency is a novel radar signal with high range resolution. In this paper, the process of frequency modulate is expounded first. By contrasting the process of the stepped frequency and linear frequency modulate signal, it can get the new process method of the frequency modulate signal. In the end demonstrate its correctness in simulation.
