Abstract: The computer modeling and simulation method of designing ionospheric coherent scattering radar antenna are addressed, using the NEC 2 codes. The software EZNEC 3.0 and NEC 2 code are summarized. In addition, the rules and the approaches of the design based on a particular application are demonstrated detailedly. Finally, we give the optimum antenna configuration.
