Abstract: In this paper, a new type of aircraft communication antenna with special structure-waist-shaped antenna is introduced. The nonorthogonal FDTD (NFDTD) algorithm is applied to analyze the antenna and the agreement between the results by NFDTD modeling and measurements is good. Furthermore, a new illumination is presented. With this antenna, the aircraft is ensured to the continuous communication during maneuver flight and the problem of the flame interference with the radiation property is absolved.
