Abstract: Weighted Least-square method is utilized in this paper to estimate the target position in a multistatic radar system.It is theoretically proved that the error covariance matrix is singular when using the same transmitter's measurement.In order to estimate the position accurately,a method based on modification of the covariance matrix is presented,and its effectiveness is shown by the contour GDOP maps of simulations.
