Abstract: Passive location aided with opportunity transmitter is a kind of system which employs a television or FM broadcast transmitter as the illuminator. Some advantages are obtained from this radar, such as anti-elint, electronic counter-countermeasure, detection of stealth targets and counter anti-radiation missile. First, the theory of the passive location system based on opportunity transmitter is analyzed, thesingle station passive location system based on opportelity transmitter is pointed out, and process distance equation is elicited. The jamming area efficiently under ideal condition is analyzed and pressing area borderline equation is elicited. Finally, and the result of the computer simulation is also analyzed and summarized.
