Abstract: Terrain is very important to ScanSAR radiometric calibration. Presenuy, many statues have been done about the effect of terrain on strip mode SAR radiometric property. In this paper the effect of terrain on ScanSAR radiometric property is studied, including the effect of terrain on ground true backscattering area, scalloping and beam boundary. Quantitative analysis on the effect of terrain has also been done.
