Abstract: The difference between opportunistic illuminator radar and common bistatic radar mainly arises from the unique properties of the non-cooperative illuminator.Firstly,the illuminators that can be used in opportunistic illuminator radar system are given;then,the principle of illuminator selecting is analyzed in respect of the availability,waveform property,and application scenario;and finally,the target location methods are introduced for different illuminator in different application.
