Abstract:
Analysis of tracking performance and resource management for pulse doppler phased array radar is done by simulation with incorporating radial velocity into the IMM filtering. Simulation results show that the radar resource utilized in tracking maneuvering target will be saved and the tracking accuracy will be greatly improved via incorporating the radial velocity measurements under the same condition. The more maneuvering the target is ,the more accurate the tracking performance will be. The tracking filter incorporating the radial velocity and varying sampling interval concept should have a practical application in engineering.
