Abstract: The presence of mutual coupling affects the precision of DOA estimation. The effect of mutual coupling among array elements on the performance of DOA estimation is investigated. The calculation of mutual coupling of slotted array and the correction of MUSIC algorithm are mainly investigated. The scattering and impedance matrix of finite slotted array are acquired by modification of the scattering parameter of infinite array. The impedance matrix is then used to eliminate the effects of mutual coupling and correct the performance of MUSIC algorithm. Finally, the results of computer simulation are given.
