Abstract: The paper expatiates on the scheme and design difficulties of high power millimeter-wave transmitter which use new type high power millimeter-wave gyrotron. According to the characteristic of gyrotron, key technologies and design methods of the transmitter such as all solid-state modulator are also discussed. Finally, the problem in gyrotron transmitter is pointed out.
