Abstract: Using template matching classifier,a high resolution range profile(HRRP) based target classification simulation is made for 9 classes of large-,medium-and small-sized radar targets in this paper.Relationship between correct classification rates,radar signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) and radar bandwidth/carrier frequencies are systematically studied.The impact of radar waveform parameters on classification rates are systematically analyzed with valuable conclusions drawn.
