Abstract:
In this paper,a method is proposed for the real time measurement of polarization scattering matrix of moving target. The method is considered and analyzed, through using orthogonal signals.A polarimetric radar simultaneously transmits a pair of chirp signals with opposite chirp frequency slopes on two orthogonal polarized channels, independently. The received signal on each orthogonally polarized channel is correlated with both transmitted waveforms.Using the property of ambiguity function of chirp signal pair,we obtain the time delay and Doppler shift. Then, the four elements of polarization scattering matrix are retrieved by solving a linear equation system to eliminate the influence of Doppler shift. This method can obtain time delay,Doppler shift and polarization scattering matrix in one pulse duration.Simulation verifies its effectiveness.
