Abstract:
The detection of low-altitude windshear is a major working mode of airborne weather radar, and its core technology is thesignal processing algorithms. The effectiveness of the signal processing algorithms is directly related to the effective detection oflow-altitude windshear. In this paper, the concept and the characteristics of the low-altitude windshear have been introduced, therelative signal processing technology has been systematically researched. On the basis of the traditional FFT spectral estimation,the modern spectral estimation ARburg method has been used to do the spectral analysis for weather echo, to improve the calculating accuracy of the average velocity and the spectral width of weather echo. In the windspeed grade calculation, the least squareshas been used to reduce the effect of noice and errors in the velocity measurements. Finally, the windshear echo simulating data hasbeen used to do the system simulation and analysis. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of this system algorithms.
