Abstract:
In order to overcome the problems of false targets that automobile anti-collision radar encounter in the multi-target environment, an improved variable cycle LFMCW radar multi-target recognition method is proposed, which based on variable period multi-target detecting method. In the method, the improved variable cycle triangular wave is taken as frequency modulated signal, ultimately removes false targets by judging the tolerance function after echo signal is processed by MTD, CFAR etc. The simulation results also show that under real-world complex multi-target situation, comparing to the traditional LFMCW radar, the capacity of precision will be increased in the aspect of target identification. At the same time, the false targets could be removed. This method can be applied in the automotive anti-collision radar system, moreover, it could offer the driver the correct target distance and relative speed information, so as to playing the role of protecting driver actively.
