Abstract: Based on the scattering characteristics of single raindrop at different diameters, the Doppler spectrum of raindrops' radar echo is gained through simulation. Meanwhile, the relation of the reflectivity and velocities of the raindrops is shown in a radar resolution cell. What's more, the result of the comparison between the radar reflection factor and Doppler spectrum shows that the twomethods fit well with each other.
