Abstract:
The atmospheric turbulence signal, as the detect targets of the wind profiler, is highly vulnerable to external environment and the signal interference from ground clutter, sea clutter, precipitation, radio signals, the airplane, birds, insects,etc, generating a kind of power spectra data with characteristic of multiple peak. In order to effectively suppress and remove the clutter, and improve the quality of the wind profiler data, it is very necessary to identify the atmospheric turbulence target from this kind of power spectra. After the analysis of atmospheric turbulence characteristics in the wind profiler echo, which to be used as the wind profiler target identification principles, a wind profiler target identification technology based on fuzzy logic is proposed in this paper. The feasibility and effectiveness of this method is validated by the process and analysis of actual data.
