Abstract:
With the rapid development of space technology, tracking the target aircraft and intercepting the signal information content are increasingly important. In order to achieve the target spacecraft tracking and information interception, an ultra-wideband, multi-polarization, high gain tracking antenna and feed are presented, using the log-periodic antenna as a unit which is designed based on PCB. And eight log-periodic array antenna elements are used to constitute the reflector feed. The design of structure, amplitude and phase of feed are probed so as to realize three operation mode, those are linear polarization, left-handed circular polarization and right-handed circularly polarized. Simulated results show that the bandwidth which VSWR is less than 2 reaches 147%, and the axial ratio of secondary pattern is less than 4 dB, the cross level of cross beam stability between -3 dB to -8 dB. The proposed antenna is fabricated and measured. The measured results show a good agreement with the simulation.
