Abstract:
A ultra-wideband tightly coupled array is proposed. The antenna consists of two layers of printed dipole unit. The disconnected dipole located in the top is parasitic layer . The unit that is increased the coupling structure at E-plane is radiation lay.Feed network is composed of Marchaned balun and broadband Wilkinson power dividers. The simulation results show that the antenna achieves 0 . 9 GHz ~ 4 . 8 GHz bandwidth for VSWR < 2 , andhave E-plane 60
o, H -plane 45
oscanning range in 1 GHz ~ 4 GHz. This antenna has characteristic of broad bandwidth, large scan angle, and lightweight , which can be applied to small ultra-wideband phased antenna array system.
