Abstract:
P-band synthetic aperture radar is widely concerned because of its strong penetrability, but as its operating frequency is very low and its signal bandwidth is very wide, the design of its receiver is facing many challenges. The design process of a SAR receiver whose center frequency is 330 MHz, relative bandwidth up to 60% and dynamic range up to 80 dB is introduced. The design scheme of the receiver is proposed. The most important technological indexes like noise figure, gain and dynamic range are analyzed and calculated in detail. Difficult technological problems like large dynamic range gain control, wide band magnitude-frequency flatness characteristics and out-of-band rejection are successfully solved. The completed receiver is successfully applied to the radar system with every technological indexes equal or better than the system requirements.
