Abstract:
Low range and velocity resolution is frequently encountered in the airship borne passive bistatic radar based on frequency modulated radio, global system for mobile communication and other narrowband signals. Aiming at the above situation, an airship borne passive bistatic radar system utilizing long term evolution(LTE) signal is proposed. The target detection methodology is described. And the method of LTE signal generation, range resolution, Doppler and velocity resolution, ambiguity function and coverage are analyzed. Computer simulations show that the airship borne passive bistatic radar based on LTE signal could accomplish the target detection task successfully.
