Abstract: Starting from the analysis of the connotation and characteristics of intelligence and artificial intelligence, this paper discussed the development and military application of the new generation of artificial intelligence technology. The concept definition of intelligent radar was put forward based on the viewpoint of bionics, and the technical system and classification standards were sorted out of intelligent radar. The main characteristics of intelligent radar, cognitive radar, software-based radar and unattended radar were compared and analyzed. On the whole, the connotation and extension of intelligent radar was systematically studied, and the study is of guiding significance for grasping the essence of intelligent radar, defining the research focus and formulating the development route.
