Abstract:
The airborne fire-control radar is the key equipment of F2T2EA(Find-Fix-Track-Target-Engage-Assess) kill chain in modern air combat. However, due to many restrictions the traditional airborne radars can only detect and track targets of ±70° azimuth, which is not able to meet the urgent demands of situational awareness of wide-range, high-dynamics and strong-confrontation modern air combat. The concept, importance and achievement approach of wide-azimuth airborne fire-control radar are presented, which are followed by the development considerations of wide-azimuth airborne fire-control radar in future.
