Abstract:
Facing the needs of multi-signal receiving and processing under ultra-wideband, high sensitivity and complex electromagnetic environment, the paper proposes an integrated ultra-wideband receiving and processing technology based on microwave photonic channelization. Compared with traditional microwave receiving methods, the microwave photonic channelization unified IF frequency conversion receiving channel, taking advantage of photonic technology in parallel, multiplexing, and high integration, it completes the channelization down-conversion processing of ultra-wideband microwave signals in the optical domain. It saves many microwave components and cables, reduces system weight, volume and power consumption, increases the probability of signal interception, and realizes the ability to process multiple narrowband and wideband signals simultaneously in a large bandwidth. Therefore, it can enhance the system reliability and improves the system efficiency. Adopting data buffering and multi-level digital channelization processing method, which can alleviate the mismatch in terms of data throughput and processing ability, adapt to the input of signals of different bandwidths, and improve single-level channelization while processing narrowband signal and broadband signal performance limitations. The proposed method is especially suitable for the unified reception and processing of ultra-wideband electromagnetic signals by the multifunctional integrated payloads and 6G satellite communication systems.
