Abstract: Weather radar plays an important role in disastrous weather early warning. In recent years, a number of new weather radar technologies have been developed. Firstly, the research and application of plane phased array, curved conformal phased array, sparse array, ubiquitous radar, passive detection and cognitive radar in weather radar are summarized. Secondly, it introduces the new signal processing algorithms, including waveform design, spectrum processing, sidelobe whitening and so on, especially the research on improving the detection performance of weather radar by using these technologies. Finally, the Daxing airport phased array weather radar using the latest weather radar technology is introduced.
