Abstract:
Microwave power module (MPM) is a highly integrated microwave transmitter. It is a significant change in the application of vacuum amplification devices, involving multiple technical fields such as microwave, vacuum electronics, integrated power supply, and microsystem integration. It has the advantages of high single machine power, wide frequency band, high efficiency, high power density, and high reliability. It can be used in many fields such as unmanned aerial vehicle electronic countermeasure systems, active phased arrays, towed high-power electronic jamming decoys, and meteorological radars. A design method for X-band mid-power airborne MPM is introduced in this paper, and the excitation inductance, resonant inductance, and resonant capacitor three element series resonant full-bridge topology high-voltage power supply, carrier frequency pulse modulator, structure and thermal design for the module, and key technologies are elaborated in detail. Actual test data is provided to bring some inspiration and assistance to relevant practitioners. The MPM developed by this project has successfully completed air to air and ground to ground test in the field, which has excellent performance and can be promoted for use.
