Abstract: A detailed imaging method based on video echo string reflected from a ship target illuminated by sea surveillance radar is proposed in this paper. This method can double effective distance of existing video echo string imaging method and improve the quality of the image. The influences on the imaging with parameters such as distance, aspect angle etc. are discussed. The effect of the detailed imaging method is tested with simulative experiment. The ability of this new method against noise is also discussed.
