Abstract: Based on a traditional automatic gain control loop model, the relationship between loop components and static or dynamic character were found. The steady state error, setting time, and the dynamic range were analyzed qualitatively or quantificationally. Then we utilized AD8367 and AD8361 for designing wide dynamic range, broad band IF AGC loop, validated the correctness of analyses.
