Abstract: In order to meet the general test requirements of the radar equipment for automatic test equipment, we developed the automatic test system based on PXI and VXI bus by using mixed bus technology. This system used the design method of the connector-a-dapter interface to design the test interface, and the software platform for automatic test system is developed based on the method of signal oriented system. This paper introduced the design method of the radar automatic test system, and mainly explained the design method of the general hardware platform and the test interface adapter, and the software of the automatic test system was described.The system has ample test resources, compact structure and high automation degree, and can be used to test many kinds of active radar equipments. The system conquered the shortcomings of low automation degree, low equipment reuse rate and high quality requirements for the maintenance in the course of radar equipment maintenance, so this system would have a certain military significance.
