A Method of False Target Identification in Cooperative Anti-jamming of Dual Station Radar

Abstract
The mainlobe jamming can be effectively suppressed by adaptive filtering in the cooperative anti-jamming of dual station radar, which takes advantage of the de-correlation of target echoes and strong correlation of jamming signals. In the escort-support mainlobe jamming scenario, the distance between the target and the shielding jammer is relatively close, and there are scattered signals of two platforms and a jamming radiation signal in the radar echoes. After adaptive filtering, the jamming radiation signals in the radar echoes of master station are suppressed, but a false target will appear at the same time, which increases the radar detection false alarm rate. In this paper, the reason for the generation of false target signals is analyzed firstly. It is because of the arrival time difference between the target scattered signals in the process of time-domain alignment. Then, an angle identification method is proposed to distinguish false targets and the simulation is carried out finally. Simulation results show that the dual radar system can distinguish the true and false targets through the sum and differential based angle measurement information under the conditions that the true target and the jammer can be distinguished in the angle domain of the main station radar.
