Design of Irregular Range Gate Pull-off Jamming Method Based on Fused Chaotic Sequences

    • This paper sets out a novel range-gate pull-off (RGPO) jamming method based on fused Logistic, Tent, and Hénon chaotic sequences. This method has been proposed as a means of mitigating the high identification rate of false targets in existing anti-jamming algorithms. In comparison with conventional uniform/accelerated velocity deception patterns, the present method significantly improves jamming effectiveness by leveraging the stochastic characteristics of chaotic systems. Utilising Pareto multi-objective optimisation, the designed hybrid sequences demonstrate superior performance in both chaotic characteristics and randomness in comparison to individual chaotic sequences. The proposed method dynamically modulates pulse delay via chaotic velocity profiles (see Equations 12-13), generating irregular false-target trajectories that are unattainable with conventional uniform/accelerated velocity pull-off modes. The experimental validation undertaken utilised a combination of α-β filtering and discrete wavelet analysis in conjunction with the Mallat algorithm. This approach has been demonstrated to enhance the efficacy of jamming by over 25%, thus offering a highly promising technical solution for the implementation of electronic countermeasures.
