Design of a LiDAR System Based on Dual-Frequency Phase Modulation

    • To meet the demand for high-speed and high-precision distance measurement in industrial field applications, a real-time high-accuracy laser ranging system was designed and implemented. The system utilizes a dual-scale modulated laser source combined with all-phase fast Fourier transform (apFFT) technology to enhance measurement speed for high-speed ranging requirements. A 100 MHz+1MHz dual-scale modulated light source was employed, integrated with transmitting/receiving optical systems to construct the high-speed laser ranging system. Experimental tests were conducted to evaluate the system's measurement speed and accuracy. Results demonstrate that the system achieves a measurement rate of 0.02s per cycle with millimeter-level ranging accuracy. This system exhibits real-time high-speed and high-precision measurement capabilities, making it suitable for applications such as high-precision laser scanners and dynamic tracking measurement systems.
