    Research on Efficient Electromagnetic Compatibility Simulation Analysis Method forPhased Array Transmitting and Receiving Antenna Arrays

    • This paper presents a novel electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) simulation and analysis method for phased array antennas. By integrating multiple electromagnetic software and the equivalent source principle, it can conduct electromagnetic modeling based on the actual phased array antenna layout and analyze the near-field electric field intensity and power density. The proposed method was applied to the EMC simulation of co-planar transmit and receive phased array antennas. Simulation models were established based on the actual test models to verify the electromagnetic simulation accuracy with and without the application of absorbing materials. Compared with the measured results, the simulation errors was within ±5dB. Meanwhile, it was verified that the application of absorbing materials could increase the electromagnetic isolation between the transmit and receive phased array antennas by more than 10 dB, providing an analytical tool for the system-level EMC design of phased array antenna systems on carrier platforms.
