Design of Radar Power Supply Based on Improved sigmoid Function Controller

    • As radar applications become more complex and tasks diversify, the demand for power supplies that can handle pulse-continuous hybrid loads, characterized by both typical pulsed and continuous load patterns, is increasing. The complexity of load types and the trend toward smaller device sizes place higher demands on radar power supply design. Radar power supplies must be capable of accommodating the characteristics of pulse-continuous hybrid loads, ensuring excellent steady-state performance under various load conditions, as well as good dynamic performance during load transitions. This paper presents a pulse-continuous hybrid load power supply based on an improved sigmoid function controller. The design features modular and digital architecture, high power density, along with comprehensive control, protection logic, and communication capabilities. The power supply using this controller exhibits superior performance in pulse-continuous hybrid mode: it offers excellent load transition characteristics, stable steady-state operation, minimal voltage overshoot, high accuracy, fast response times, and ease of implementation.
