A Track Correlation Method Based on B-Spline Deviation Statistics

    • Aiming at the problems such as track mixing easily caused by the conventional nearest neighbor correlation method when radar tracks dense group targets, this paper proposes a track correlation method based on B-spline deviation statistics. Based on the idea of B-spline interpolation, this method constructs the target motion trend function, calculates the correlation matrix between tracks and plots based on the trend function, and realizes the optimal plot-track correlation. This method makes full use of the constraint of target motion trend and effectively improves the correct correlation probability. Simulation results show that the proposed method has good applicability in typical scenarios such as dense target tracking, track crossing and track separation, and can significantly reduce track mixing, swapping and false correlation.
