Study on Low Windload FLAPS Antenna

A wire-mesh flat parabolic surface(FLAPS) reflector with dipoles attached on the string offers low windload and light weight.In this paper,we present the characteristics of a C band wire-mesh FLAPS.The phased characteristics of crossed dipoles are calculated with MoM.The performances and design methods of wire-mesh FLAPS are discussed.A C-band experiment antenna is made.Test results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.
