    Application of Photonic Crystal in Distributed Jammers System

    • Photonic crystal is a new type periodic structure with frequency bandgaps,their unique bandgap features bring about wide application prospect.The basical conception of photonic crystals is introduced,and the structure and electromagnetic model of high impedance surface(HIS) are discussed.The applications of HIS in distributed jammers system is studied.An structure of HIS was designed to improve the performance of Archimedean plannar spiral antenna in distributed jammers system.The experimental results show that the HIS can remarkably decrease the back lobe,increase the gain of main lobe and suppress the mutual coupling between receiving antenna and transmitting antenna.
