A Novel Polygon UWB Printed Antenna

A novel UWB printed antenna is proposed by modified the rectangular patch antenna.The proposed antenna consist of an octagonal patch and a ground plate with notche structure,which improved the antenna's impedance matching.Experimental results show that the voltage standing wave ratio is less than 2 in the band of 3 GHz-11 GHz,which cover the work band requested by the UWB antennas.The antenna has a good omni-directional radiation characteristic in the H plane,which can be a good choice for indoor short dist...
