An Angle Calibration Method for Airborne Active Phase Array Radar

    • Airborne active phased array radar is the development direction of modern airborne fire control radar. The angle calibration of active phased array antenna is an important task during the satage of radar research and development. After the radar delivers the army, the calibration of active phased array antenna is also an important task of TR components replacement and daily maintenance. The calibration results will directly affect the detection accuracy of radar, then affects the aircraft忆s operational effectiveness and survivability. A method of angle calibration which based on radar target simulator and electronic total station is prouided in this paper. This method has some advantages such as simple equipment, convenient operation, high test precision, high repeatability of data, low implementation cost, short calibration time and one people can complete the whole calibration process. So it has a better promotion prospect.
