    A Study on Matching Technology of Broadband and Narrowband Velocity Measurement in Phased Array Radar

    • The mechanisms of the phenomenons that sometimes there is no output for broadband velocity measurement and frequency spectrum line jumps for narrowband velocity measurement are analyzed in this paper, and a method of improving the precision of broadband velocity measurement by the data of narrowband velocity measurement is proposed. The problem that broadband gate can't catch targets is solved and the output for broadband velocity measurement can be supplied continuously. Meanwhile, in order to avoid the ambiguity of narrowband velocity measurement, measurement decision-aided is done by using the data of broadband velocity measurement. The conclusion is that technical problems of velocity measurement in engineering application can be solved by the matching between the broadband and narrowband velocity measurement, and detection precision and ability of radars can be improved by this result.
