A Study on Subarray Division of a Circular Aperture Phased Array Antenna in X-band Airborne

Abstract
In order to solve the problem of wide angel scanning beam dispersion in the instantaneous wideband of the phased array antenna. Five typical sub-array division methods are proposed in this paper. At the same time, optimal performance of the typical parameters is realized, including the pointing angle deviation, gain, first side lobe level, mean side lobe level, max side lobe level and so on. On the basis of simulation analysis, the correspondence between sub-array division method and antenna performance is summarized.
