    Miniaturization and High Accuracy Design of a Wideband Drive Time-delay Module

    • In this paper, the working principle of drive time-delay module in radar system is introduced. Wideband, miniaturization and high accuracy design of time-delay modules is given. The cooperation of microwave multilayer printed circuits board and low temperature co-fired ceramic is adopted to implement integration design of true time-delay and drive circuit. On a basis of wideband amplitude equalized technique and wideband amplitude/phase accuracy fine-tuning methods, high accuracy time-delay is warranted. Consequently, a wideband miniaturized high accuracy drive time-delay module is designed. According to the measured results, at the frequency band of 3 GHz~6 GHz, amplitude fluctuation is better than ±0.4 dB, time-delay phase accuracy is within ±5°, and time-delay amplitude accuracy is within ±0.5 dB.
