    LPI Detection Design for Bistatic GMTI Based on Intercept Factor Evaluation

    • The passive detection of electronic warfare equipment threatens the survivability of the operational aircraft seriously.Ground moving target indication (GMTI) is an important function for the airborne radar, which desiderates to enhance the capability of anti-interception. Combining the low probability of intercept (LPI) characteristic of bistatic radar, the LPI detection design method for the bistatic airborne radar GMTI based on intercept factor evaluation is proposed to improve the anti-interception performance.In allusion to the bistatic airborne radar GMTI, the range resolution and the minimum detectable velocity are analyzed,and the expression of intercept factor is derived. Then, on the premise of the detection performance, the LPI detection method based on intercept factor evaluation is designed. Simulation results show that the proposed method in this paper can obviously improve the anti-interception performance of GMTI function of the airborne fire control radar.
